L.J. Barton Mechanical Inc. is committed to protecting and promoting the health and safety of our team and providing a safe and healthy work environment through the co-operative efforts of all our employees.
To achieve this, health and safety is integrated into all organizational activities to eliminate incidents which downgrade the safety and efficiency of our operations. We provide health and safety training for each employee such that they will have the knowledge and skill to perform their own work safely and efficiently.
Our management functions ensure compliance with our Health and Safety Program, and the Ministry of Labour Occupational Health and Safety Act
and its regulations as they apply to design, operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment. Our approach to accident prevention ensures that every member of our team has the authority to take action where sufficient hazards exist, including the right to stop unsafe work or activities to protect our employees and the public.
Management, supervisors and staff are responsible to ensure that all potential hazardous conditions in the workplace are eliminated. Employees perform their jobs in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations, and report any detected safety hazards to their immediate supervisor.
Our comprehensive Health and Safety Program provides the framework for the integration of safety into everyone’s daily routine. Accountability for compliance begins and ends with each employee.
We have acknowledged a safe year and all the hard work and participation from employees, subtrades and suppliers.
